NZDE general program structure

The NZDE program is setup as a two year full-time program covering four semesters.  However, study towards the NZDE can be full-time or part-time (or a combination of full and part-time) and can be achieved through all of the providers in NZ.  Because this is a national qualification, you can move from one provider to another and continue your studies.

Each semester has four courses; each of 15 credits (i.e. 16 courses in total and 240 credits).  There are four compulsory courses (shown in grey below) that are common to all disciplines and each discipline will also complete an engineering Project specif to their discipline (shown coloured).  Each discipline will have a number of additional compulsory courses with a small number of elective courses to enable you to focus on your area of interest.
