The NZDE is a 240 credit level 6 Diploma (two year full time equivalent) qualification that has been designed to meet the needs of the Engineering industry in New Zealand. It is part of the National Engineering Education Plan encompassing trade, Diploma, BEngTech and BE Qualifications and supported by IPENZ and the various industry training organizations. Career paths have been identified into and beyond the Diploma to allow for your continuing education and career development as an Engineering technician. View the NZDE and NZDEP promotional pamphlets
The NZDE is studied in one of three disciplines (Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical). Within each of these your study is further specialised by Program Specialisations or Elective Choices.
